Jerry Wayne Douglas, 73, of Clear Fork, WV, was released from this world and ascended into eternal peace on Saturday, December 31, 2022. He was born on June 9, 1949 in Madison, WV a son of the late John Hobert and Mary Evelyn Douglas. Jerry was a long member of the church and a devoted leader of praise and worship for many years. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. 

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Gay Ellen Douglas, a sister Deloris Peach, and brothers Jackie Douglas and Roger Douglas. 

Survivors include a sister Sandra Douglas, five brothers Terry (Kathy) Douglas, Jimmy (Francis) Douglas, Danny (Linda) Douglas, Larry (Pattie) Douglas and Donald (Connie) Douglas, and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. 

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at 1 pm on Friday, January 6th at the Promise Land Church, Oceana, WV with Pastor David Johnson officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 12 pm until time of service on Friday at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home.
