Ethel Ernestin Adkins Blankenship, 71, of Cyclone, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at Logan Regional Medical Center, Logan, WV. She was born on December 11, 1951 in Cyclone, WV a daughter of the late George and Lizzie Toler Adkins. Ethel was a lifetime member of the Toler Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband General Lee Blankenship, a daughter Rose Ann Brown, a sister Ruth Paynter, and a brother Everette Adkins. 

Survivors include her two daughters Rebecca (Michael) Harrison and Tina (Jimbo) Paynter, two sons Ira Blankenship and Curtis Blankenship, two sisters Patty Hornsby and Barbara Belcher, three brothers Ear Adkins, Harold “Bub” Adkins and Ernie Adkins, Kadey (Kendra) Blankenship, Marina Ann Lusk, Ronnie Ray Lusk, Melanie (Jay Blankenship) Harrison, Aliza Harrison, Shawna Harrison Anna Harrison, Jaylynn Harrison, Danielle Harrison, Karen Harrison, Lily Harrison and James Paynter, five great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. 

Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 7th at Toler Baptist Church, Campus, WV with Pastor Clarence Gibson officiating. She will be laid to rest in Brown Cemetery, Cyclone, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 5-8 pm on Friday, January 6th at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
