Edward Dean Compton Jr., 44 of Stafford, VA passed away at Mary Washington Hospital on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Joshua Daniel Compton.
He is survived by his fiancé, Rachel Neal, son, Devon Crail, two step sons, Seth and Logan Neal, Step daughter, Haley Neal, mother Mariann Compton, father, Edward Dean Compton Sr., sister, Tiffany Mock, grandmother, Marian Ralph, half brother, Rodney Watson and half sister, Deana Ennis, and a host of other loving family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Sunday, December 11th at the New Richmond Community Church, New Richmond, WV with Pastor Paul Compton officiating. He will be laid to rest in Compton Cemetery, Skin Fork, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 12 pm until time of service on Sunday at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel from 6-8 pm, with a service starting at 7 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his name to any Colon Cancer group of choice. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home and Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service of Fredericksburg, VA.
