Douglas “Doug” Hill, 63, of Lynco, WV, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV. He was born on January 18, 1959 in Mullens, WV a son of the late James and Patty McCoy Hill. Doug was a 1977 graduate of Oceana High School and a member of the UMWA Local 1713. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, loved all outdoor sports and watching WVU football. 

He is preceded in death by his parents. 

Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years Sherry Fleenor Hill, three sons Chris (Heather) Hill of King George, VA, Kyle Hill of Clermont, FL, and Dennis (Cassie) Hill of Glen Fork, two granddaughters Arabella Hill and Sadie Hill, two sisters-law Lori (Greg) Pelphrey of Saulsville, and Margaret Davis of Crab Orchard, special nephew T.J. Basconi of Beckley, good friends Timmy Brown, Greg Norman and too many to list, and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 7 pm on Saturday, December 10th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Algie Cook officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 6 pm until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home.
