WILLIE A. “BO” BLANKENSHIP

Willie A. “Bo” Blankenship, 85, of Indian Creek, WV, gained his wings on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV. He was born on February 19, 1937 in Blackie, VA a son of the late Monroe and Stella Mullens Blankenship. Bo is a lifelong resident of Wyoming County. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, four wheeling, feeding his pet squirrels and spending time with his loved ones. 

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a grandson Jamie Atwell, sister and brother in law Gene and Shirley Starkey, niece Rebecca Starkey, and nephew Rick Vereen. 

Those left to cherish his memory are a son Terry Blankenship and wife Jackie of Indian Creek, a granddaughter Natasha Baugh, a grandson Gary Atwell, three great grandchildren Jailey, Jaiden and Jace, brothers Ernie Blankenship and wife Jane of Indian Creek and Chuck Blankenship and wife Julie of Palmer, AK, sisters Ruth Vereen of Princeton, Betty Wright and husband Donnie of Daniels, leaving behind his special sister and caretaker and special brother in law Thomas and Joann Sizemore of Indian Creek, special nephew Chad Sizemore of Indian Creek, and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. 

Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, May 16th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Leonard Sizemore officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 12 pm until time of service on Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
