Wyoming County Unofficial 2022 Primary Election Results

WYOMING COUNTY, W.Va. – The unofficial Primary Election results were announced Tuesday evening after polls closed.

Democratic results were as follows:

For US House of Representatives 1st Congressional District, Lacy Watson received 1020 votes.
For House of Delegates 35th District, Dewey Houck received 830 votes followed by Mark Blackwell with 553 votes.

For House of Delegates 43rd District, Joanna Vance received 191 votes.

For State Executive Committee 9th (Female), Christy Cardwell received 1343 votes, followed by Kelly Elkins with 489 votes and Debbie Bush with 163 votes.

For State Executive Committee 9th (Male), David G. Thompson led with 1472 votes, followed by Robert S. “Bob” Baker with 359 votes, Christian Martine with 231 votes, Christopher Pennington with 85 votes, and Bill Sohonage with 37 votes.

For County Commission, Samuel Muscari, Sr. led with 966 votes followed by Douglas Prichard with 770 votes.

For County Clerk, Jewell Aguilar led with 1077 votes followed by Michael Goode with 750 votes.

For County Executive Committee District 1 (Female), Christy Cardwell received 495 votes.

For County Executive Committee District 1 (Male), Terry A. Runion led with 448 votes, followed by LP Pate King with 216 votes and Raymond Cardwell with 212 votes.

For County Executive Committee District 2 (Male), David G. Thompson received 483 votes.

Republican results were as follows:

For U.S. House of Representatives 1st Congressional District, Carol Miller led with 1020 votes, followed by Zane Lawhorn with 357 votes, Scott Fuller with 126 votes, Kent Stevens with 58 votes and James Edwin Houser with 53 votes.

For State Senator 9th District, Mick Bates led with 801 votes followed by Rollan Roberts with 728 votes.
For House of Delegates 35th District, Adam Vance received 1221 votes.

For House of Delegates 43rd District, Kase Poling led with 133 votes followed by Christopher W. Toney with 97 votes.

For State Executive Committee 9th (Female), Michele R. Davis led with 790 votes followed by Amy A. Osgood with 683 votes and Kayla Kessinger with 479 votes.

For State Executive Committee 9th (Male), Mick Bates led with 678 votes followed by Brandon Steele with 620 votes, Christopher W. Toney with 450 votes, Will Davis with 258 votes, Russell Dale Bragg with 106 votes and Tom Louisos with 84 votes.

For County Prosecuting Attorney, Greg Bishop received 1408 votes.

For Circuit Clerk, Tony Paynter led with 1337 votes followed by Michael Stover with 422 votes.


Non-partisan results were as follows:

For Circuit Court Judge, Michael Cochrane led with 1978 votes followed by Lindsey Thompson with 1152 votes and Thomas Evans with 567 votes.

For Wyoming County Board of Education, Douglas E. Lester received 1842 votes, Doug Kennedy received 1718 votes, Allan R. Stiltner received 1646 votes, Ken McBride received 1289 votes and Mary Ford received 1134 votes.
