Ronald Lee Maynard, 76, of Cyclone, WV, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Logan Regional Medical Center, Logan, WV. He was born on February 5, 1946 in Cyclone, WV a son of the late Carl Maynard and Eva Blankenship Bailey. Ronald was a member of the UMWA. 

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers James Harold Maynard and Alford Gibson, a nephew Jimmie Maynard, an aunt Goldie Bailey, father and mother-in-law Buster and Garnett Elkins, and a sister-in-law Betty Mullins and husband Lee. 

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years Merlie May Elkins Maynard, a son Ronald Carl Maynard, two grandsons Carl Maynard and Josh Maynard, a sister Priscilla Wars, a niece Tina Maynard, two nephews Donald Maynard and Jimmie Maynard, brother and sister-in-laws David and Karen Elkins, Richard and Carolyn Elkins, Johnny and Tammy Elkins, Darrel Gene and Jane Elkins, Sam and Laura Lusk, Jonathan Lusk and Genil Lee Mullins, special friends Bo-Bo Coburn, Marie Coburn, Jerry Morgan, Ray Rollen, Roger Coburn, Jason Coburn, Curt and Lisa Coburn, Gene Smith , Kelsey Smith and Pat Shooks, and a host of other loving family and friends. 

Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, May 11th at the Cyclone Church of God, Cyclone, WV with Pastor Darrell Bailey officiating. He will be laid to rest in Home Sweet Home Cemetery, Lorado, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 11 am until time of service on Wednesday at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
