GLENNA FAYE CLINE LAFFERTY 

Glenna Faye Cline Lafferty, 74, of Taylorsville, NC, a lifetime, God fearing Christian, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 7th 2022 at the Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory, NC. She was affectionately called Glenna Faye, Sis, Maw Glenna and famously known as mom, mama and mawmaw. She was raised and lived most of her life in Sun Hill, WV. She lived life serving the Lord, playing the guitar, and singing in church. She loved her family, but also her church family just as much. No matter the occasion or mood, she greeted you with a smile it was infectious, just like her laugh. If you came to her house you were going to eat something before you left. She moved to North Carolina to live with her daughter in 2016 to be closer to family. This is where she attended Bethlehem Church of God. Spending the last six years surrounded by her children and grandchildren. When able.. and found willing participants, she loved to play Sorry, Trouble, and Marbles (or as she liked to call it, Marvles). She will be dearly missed, cherished, loved, and remembered always. She has shown a light on all of us and showed us what being a loving Christian should look like. She is preceded in death by her parents Wannie Cline and Vivette Harvey Godfrey. 

In addition to her parent she is preceded in death by her firstborn son Billy Eugene Blankenship, her brothers Larry Godfrey, Danny Ray Cline, Orville “Junior” Godfrey, and Jimmie Woody, and her late husband Walter Lafferty. 

Those left to cherish her memories are her children Glenna (Chris) Parks, Jessie (Alice) Dunford all of Taylorsville, NC, Jon (Michelle) Conn of Granite Falls, NC and Becky (Willie) Peek of Salisbury, NC, brothers Rocky (Betty) Cline of Oceana, WV and John D. (Susan) Woody of Cooksville, TN, a sister Jo Ann Woody of Cooksville, TN, grandchildren Corey (Shelby) Blankenship, Jamie, Jessica, Jason and Jaylynn Dunford, Braxtyn and Madisyn Conn, Rihanna Parks, Brandon, Courtney, Mason (Jasmine) Greenwood, Waylan Peek, and Stephanie and Summer Lafferty, great grandchildren Adalyn Lamb, Emma and Carter Blankenship, Zach and Zariah Greenwood, Levaeh Gadson, Gabe and Peyton Greenwood, and Greyson Morgan, and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. 

Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, May 14th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Jerry McCoy and Rev. Stewart Lankford officiating. She will be laid to rest in Harvey Cemetery, Cedar Creek, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 5-8 pm on Friday, May 13th at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
