Dottie Lou Browning Lester, 74, of Verner, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at her home. She was born on June 13, 1947 in Leatherwood, WV a daughter of the late Ola and Zola Pearl Walls Browning. Dottie attended the Christian Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Frank D. Lester, two sons Johnny Thomas Lester and Jody Lester, a grandson Robert Hatfield, her step fathers Johnny Blankenship and Douglas New, three sisters Melissa Browning, Neva Browning and Brenda Bernece Keneda, four brothers Terry, Chris, Gene and Dale Browning.
Survivors include two daughters Melanie Faye (Orville) Parker of Mallory and Carrin Toler and husband Clarence Toler of Triadelphia, three sons Frank Lester, Jr. and companion Darlene Sims of Spice Creek, Bradley Lester of Fayette County and Jimmy Lester and companion Vanessa of Washington, PA, grandchildren Cody (Adrianna) Lester, Charity Lester, Ashley Hensley, Christopher Lester and companion Shannon, Jared (Stephanie) Hensley, Josiah Lester, Tawana Browning and husband Larry, Robert Ryan Gage Lester, Kameron Lester, Dylan Lester, Olivia Lester, Jessica Thomas Maynard and husband Robert, Johnathan Thomas, Leanna Thomas, Johnanna Thomas, and Edward Thomas great grandchildren Brayden Lester, Braxton Wiley, Olivia Lester, Ava Lester, Gracy Cisco, Sarah Cisco, Hunter Hensley, Robert Maynard, Owen Hunt, Lillian Hensley and Isaiah Wiley, special sister-in-law Deborah Browning, two brothers Lloyd and Boyd Browning, a special friend Rose May, and a host of other loving family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday May 1, 2022 at the Christian Freewill Baptist Church, Christian, WV with Rev. Roger Browning and Rev. Lonnie Blankenship officiating. She will be laid to rest in Skyline Cemetery, Justice, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 12 pm until time of service on Sunday at the church. Pallbearers will be Frank Lester, Jr., Jimmy Lester, Cody Lester, Larry Browning, Chris Lester, David Wiley and Scott Mounts.
