Kathern Jane “Granny” Adams, 65, of Welch, WV, gained her wings on Sunday, April 10, 2022 in the at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY with her only child holding her while her granddaughter held her Momma and Granny’s hand with her oldest great grandson holding all three, as she held his hand at birth. Born on March 9, 1957 in Welch, WV a daughter of the late Roscoe Lester and Lilly Fern Sloan Lester. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Douglas McArthur “Bud” Adams, two great grandchildren an angel baby boy and an angel baby girl and a host of siblings. Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter Mary Trent and husband David of New Richmond, two grandchildren Lilly and John Bowling of Welch and Kyle and Brittany Trent of Welch, thirteen great grandchildren that she adored Harley, Natashia, Emma, Tayten, Breanna, Daniel, Jasmine, Chase, Addi, Logan and Josiah, sisters Tina Cline of Charleston, Dorean Lester of Justice Vicey Kollfee of Varney and Charlotte Lester of Justice, brothers Dennie Ray Lester of Charleston, Roscoe Lester of Varney and Abby Lester of Varney and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 7 pm on Thursday, April 14th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 6 pm until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated following the service. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home.
