Clyde Amos Ellis, Sr., 88, of Glen Rogers, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at his home. He was born on February 5, 1934 in Glen Rogers, WV a son of the late Virgil and Mary Brown Ellis. Clyde attended the Glen Fork Church of God.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years Alice Maye Richardson Ellis two children Karen Polk and Daniel Ellisthree brothers Junior Ellis, Carl Ellis and Jimmy Ellis and a sister Magdalene Ellis.
Survivors include three daughters Kathy (Ronnie) Bower of Ravencliff, Melissa Ellis of Glen Rogers and Karen (Jay) Waldron of Rockview a son Amos (Shirley) Ellis of Glen Rogers a sister Betty (Larry) Burgess of Glen Rogers a brother Roger (Joan) Ellis of Sophia a sister-in-law Elsie (Daniel) Dietz Mount Lookout a brother-in-law Steve (Betty) Richardson of Glen Rogers grandchildren Ronnie Bower, Lillie Bower, Jeremy Ellis, Chris Simerly, Melissa Simerly, Kathy Bair, Melanie Daniels, Rebecca Arrington, Kayla Polk, Tabby Landis, Krystyna Johnson, Sam Adams, Braxton Waldron, Bradyn Waldron, Remington Waldron and Jaycelynn Waldron great grandchildren Elijah Ellis, Noah Ellis, Lily Simerly, Samuel Davis, Tyler Bair, Josiah “Bubba” Bair, Grayson Bair, Jayden Bair, Gabe Bair, Nathan Daniels, Katie Daniels, Carissa Tilley, Veda Arrington, Ramzey Arrington, Colton O’Neal, Brystol O’Neal, Cayvon O’Neal, Breezei O’Neal, Legend Landis and John Kyle O’Neal a great great grandchild Tucker Tilley and a host of other loving family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, March 20th at the Glen Fork Church of God, Glen Fork, WV with Pastor Darrell Stapleton officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his loving wife in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ravencliff, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 12 pm until time of service on Sunday at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
