On Monday March 7th, Pineville Elementary student Brystol Ellis placed 1st in the West Virginia Science & Engineering Fair that was held at the Charleston Coliseum.
Students from all over the state competed in the fair. Brystol represented Wyoming County and placed 1st in the 3rd-5th Division 1 Biology C category.
Brystol’s project was presented on goldfish behavior. Brystol tested goldfish to see if they could be conditioned to learn when a bell is rang at feeding time that it meant food was to follow.
Brystol’s Science Teacher is Kristin Clay and her parents are Karissa and Dale Harold.
