LINDA LOU DURBIN BLACKBURN

Linda Lou Durbin Blackburn, 74, of Oceana, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 15, 1947, a daughter of the late Harold Clifford “Rough House” Durbin and the late Kathleen Lowe Durbin. Linda was a member of the Lillyhaven Missionary Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband James Lloyd “Jim” Blackburn her father and mother-in-law Lloyd and Nina Bailey Blackburn and a great granddaughter Kiernan Rosalie Hash. She loved Elvis, old movies, westerns, working puzzles and country music. 

Survivors include her son Brian Blackburn and wife Melissa of Kopper City Bottom two daughters Karen Blackburn of Shady Spring and Kathy Jo Cook and husband Chris of Oceana a brother Bill Durbin of Bridgeport five grandchildren Maddie Cook, Casey Cook, Carleigh Shrewsbury, Darian Blackburn and Gillian Blackburn five great grandchildren Aubreigh, Callie, Riley, Emma and Greyson her constant companion her little dog, Little Lulu and a host of other loving family and friends. Maddie and Casey spent a lot of time with grandma, she really loved being with them, especially on their road trips. 

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Pastor Algie Cook and Rev. Randall Toppin officiating. She will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 12:00 pm until time of service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Brian, Chris, Casey, Jess, Chuck and Jerry. 

The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco.
