Everett Jessie, 82, of Bud, WV, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. He was a retired coal miner having worked at Eastern Associated, Big Boy Trucking and Genoa Coal for a total of 35 years. He was a true man of God being of the Holiness faith since devoting his life to the Lord in 1974.
He was preceded in death by his parents Johnny and Octavia Johnson Jessie a son Roy Jessie, mother and father-in-law Garland and Stella Briengar Carter brothers Albie, Bobby, Jimmy and Clyde Jessie sister Rosie and husband Jim Wilhite brothers-in-law Bill, Roy, Buddy and Roger Carter and Ronald Brooks sisters-in-law Bobbie and Bill Perry and Helen Workman a very precious son-in-law Bernard Weese.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 62 years Janice Carter Jessie, who he loved dearly, his children Jay (Angie) Jessie, Ronnie Jessie (Joyce), Wayne Jessie, and Racel Weese three grandchildren Brandon Jessie (Madonna), Eric Reed and Zackery Reed (Alexis Welch) seven great grandchildren Wyatt, Peyton, Levi, Jaden and Lexi Grace Jessie, Rylee Reed, and Skylar Cline a brother Troy (Brenda) Jessie sisters Allamaye Hester and Alice Jones brothers and sisters-in-law Dreama Jessie, Danny (Darlene) Carter, Eddie (Wanda) Carter, Carol (Gordon) Mudgett and Dorothy Brooks. He had many nieces, nephews, extended family, church family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday February 4, 2022 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Danny Short officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 11:00 am until service time athe the funeral home on Friday. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations toward the funeral expenses are appreciated.
