Pamela Gaye Jackson Oliver, 67, of Pineville, WV passed away in the evening hours of January 24, 2022. Pamela endured a nearly three year battle with Dementia, but ultimately succumb to complications brought on by COVID-19. Born May 8, 1954 in Mullens, WV to a coal mining family from Wyoming County, Pamela is the eldest of three children.
She is preceded in death by her father, Lonnie Jackson her mother Patricia Ann Cook Jackson a beloved nephew, Aaron F. Jackson along with a host of many other grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pam graduated in 1973 from Pineville High School and enjoyed a brief career in the coal mining industry while still living in Wyoming County. In 1978 she married Ted Oliver and soon after began their life traveling around the country. A large portion of her life was spent in Elizabeth City, NC where she made many friendships that she cherished throughout her life. Among the many things Pam enjoyed were making trips to the ocean, collecting antiques and spending time with the people whose lives she filled with joy. Anyone that ever met Pamela knows that there was nothing she wouldn’t have done to help a friend or family member that was in need.
Pamela is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Ted Oliver, Jr. her two children Tasha Oliver and Jackson Oliver three grandsons, Logan, Cayden and Caleb Oliver her brother Eugene Jackson and his wife Brenda and their daughter Sherri of Beckley, WV her sister, Judy Jackson and nephew, Lacy Jackson of Daytona Beach, FL and a host of other loving family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, January 29th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Bro. Matthew Campbell officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 12 pm until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. 2 Timothy 4: 7-8 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
