Mildred Rebecca Crabtree England, age 91, of Mullens, West Virginia, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021, in a Richlands, Virginia hospital.
She was born, January 30, 1930, in Twin Branch, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Girlie and Bertie Crabtree.
She had made her home in the Mullens, West Virginia area most of her life and was a former store clerk. She was a member of the Mullens United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and a lay leader for several years. She loved everyone and never met a stranger. She was a seamstress and enjoyed crocheting. Mildred was well known for her beautiful quilts that she spent many hours stitching with love.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Riley England, Jr.; one son, Danny Zane England; sister, Barbara Ann Pertee; and brothers, Jess, Jack, and Clarence Crabtree.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Larry England and wife, Sandra of Mullens, WV
Terry “Turk” England and wife, Vickie of Richlands, Virginia, and Sam England and wife, Carol of Weston, WV; one sister, Lettie Jones of Princeton, WV; one brother, Chester Crabtree, Iaeger, WV; ten grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Mildred Rebecca Crabtree England will be conducted Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 1 pm at the Mullens United Methodist Church in Mullens, West Virginia with Pastor Brian Carr officiating. Interment will follow at the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley, West Virginia.
Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of service Thursday at the church.
Pallbearers will be: Matthew England, Aaron England, Steven England, Matt Quesenberry, Charles Haga, Derek Cullop, Page Meadows, Kyle Hart, Chris Hess, and Joe Perry. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Zane England, Ace England, Jacob England, Brian Haga, Brandon Haga, Luke Quesenberry, William England, Blake England, and Kyle England.
