Lola Beatrice McKinney, 83, of Stephenson, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 26, 2021 in a Beckley hospital.
Born December 5, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Ruby Bishop.
Lola enjoyed spending time surrounded by family, coloring, and working crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed being at church and reading her Bible. Lola was the jewel that held our family together and she will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Darrell McKinney; three children, Vince Ray, Richard, and Charles; three grandchildren, Billie Jo Light, Jeremiah McDaniel, and Philip Foley; brothers, Lee and Monty; and sisters, Betty, Velma, Dorothy, Linda, and Mary.
Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Wayne Bishop and his wife, Louise of Bud Mountain; sisters, Judy Lambert of North Carolina, Nancy Pendry of North Carolina, and Kathy Dunn of Beckley; her daughters, Wanda Thomas and her husband, Tommy of Springton Mountain, Sandra McDaniel and her husband, Jerry of Midway, Sharon Sizemore and her husband, Ronnie of Karo Hollow, Delta Spencer and her husband, Willam of Kentucky; and Judith Light and her husband, William of Stephenson with whom Lola made her home with; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be 12 Noon, Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel, Mullens with Pastor Joe Cadle officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
Friends may call one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
