DAVID “DAVE” WIMMER

David “Dave” Wimmer, 64, of Clear Fork, WV, got his written testimony as he entered Heaven’s gates to meet his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV. He was born on January 10, 1957 in Welch, WV a son of the late Buster and Ethylen Singleton Wimmer. Dave was a faith-filled, radical Pentecostal as he described himself, and was a member of the Pentecostal House of Prayer, where he was frequently heard saying, “I trust you Lord,” and “God’s got this!” when testifying of the Lord’s faithfulness. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Clarance Wimmer and Kenneth Wimmer. 

Survivors include his loving wife who he had loved for over 16 years, Marlene “Murt” Walls-Wimmer a daughter, Mary (Sissy) Walls-Penney of Kopperston a son Danny (Buba) Walls of Matheny three grandchildren Drightan, Jaxon, and Myah, or as he affectionately called them, Buckwheat, Henry, and Sissy Girl his siblings Lynda Fitchett of Hanover, Drema (Tracy Mellon) Crouse of Pineville, Dean (Debbie) Wimmer of Fanrock, Frances Wimmer of Mineral, VA, and Billy (Jane) Wimmer of King William, VA and a host of other loving family and friends. 

Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, October 22nd at the Pentecostal House of Prayer, Lynco, WV with Evangelist Karen Hairston, Pastor Roy Trent, and Bro. Mervin Hairston officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 11 am until time of service on Friday at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice of Southern West Virginia and Bowers Hospice House.
