PINEVILLE, W.Va. – The Pineville Town Council, along with Mayor Mike Kodak, are pleased to announce the hiring of two new office employees to the Town of Pineville team.
Kathy Bradford was appointed by Council to be the Town Manager of Pineville while Krystal Bishop is the new Water Clerk.
In other Town of Pineville business, Council voted at their September meeting to scale down Autumn Fest this year out of an abundance of caution due to Covid-19.
In an effort to still sponsor an activity for the youth of our town, they voted, in lieu of Autumn Fest and a chili cook-off, to have a Trunk or Treat at Palisades Park in Pineville. This Trunk or Treat will be held on Saturday, October 23, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Trunk or treat is a fun, safe family environment whereby Trunk or Treaters will spend the evening going from trunk to trunk to collect candy from volunteers who have decorated their vehicles to serve as a backdrop for this spooktacular event. Area vendors, individuals, churches, schools, organizations, and businesses are invited to participate in Trunk or Treat. Anyone wishing to set up during this event must submit a registration form to Town Hall on or before October 18, 2021.
Vendors wishing to sell products will be charged a $15 vendor fee. Trunk or Treat is subject to cancellation in the event of the following: inclement weather, increase in Covid cases, and/or lack of participation. Contact the Pineville Town Hall for further information and to obtain a registration form if you wish to set up during Trunk or Treat.
Council also voted, during their September meeting, to have Halloween Trick or Treat in the Town of Pineville on Saturday, October 30, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Due to Covid precautions, residents who wish to participate in handing out candy on October 30 are asked to turn on their porch light during that time.
