Wyoming County’s Annual Labor Day Festival Kicks Off Today

PINEVILLE, W.Va. – Pineville Volunteer Fire Department is proud to present Wyoming County’s Annual Labor Day Festival.

The celebration will kick off today, September 2nd and run through Monday, September 6th, 2021, featuring carnival rides and food.

Live entertainment will be featured throughout the festival.

On Saturday, September 4th, 2021, Pink Casino will present their unique mix of pop and rock from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Taking the stage afterwards is local band The Switch, with a mission of spreading the message of rock and roll, one day at a time. They will begin at 9:00 and play until 10:00 p.m.

On Sunday, September 5th, 2021, Oceana Church of God will perform a selection of contemporary Christian music from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Afterwards, Big Planet Soul will take the stage. Hailing from the Huntington and Charleston areas, Big Planet Soul offers a mix of Rhythm & Blues and Soul music. They will play from 8:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

The festival will draw to a close Monday, September 6th, but not until after the Labor Day Parade and Shawn Benfield performing from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.

Parade Line-up will start at 10 a.m. in the Goodsons’ parking lot with the Parade starting at 11 a.m.

“Please get your club, organization, church, school, team or business involved, we need parade participants,” said Town of Pineville officials. “Individuals are also welcome! Let’s make this year’s parade the best yet for our community and county.”
