Are you ready for some high school football?  Gridiron Grizzly is chomping at the bit and this first weekend of the season should be a real humdinger, with a pair of county rivalries comprising the schedule.

Here in McDowell County, River View will visit Mount View and across the border in Wyoming County, East will entertain Westside.

 Jumping right out of the frying pan into the fire, here are the Bear’s picks for Week One:

MOUNT VIEW 22  RIVER VIEW 14

This battle will feature much more speed than usual, as both clubs are blessed with an abundance of quickness and speed.

WESTSIDE 28  WYOMING EAST 14

This one won’t be like last year’s outing that saw 89 total points scored, but this one will be just as entertaining.
