Making Health Happen: Health Screening Event Coming to Mullens

MULLENS, W.Va. – South Central Educational Development, Inc. and Mullens Opportunity Center recently announced their sponsorship of the “Making Health Happen” Community Based Health Screenings.

Coming to the Mullens Opportunity Center, 300 Front Street, on Friday, August 27th, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, residents can receive COVID-19 vaccines, blood pressure checks, Body Mass Index, Diabetes screenings, Hepatitis C Screenings, HIV testing, as well as giveaways.

Tug River Health Clinic will also provide their Mobile Health Unit for additional screenings and a LUCAS (Lung Cancer Screening) Tractor Trailer will be available as well for those with a doctor’s order and insurance pre-approval.
