Lorraine Dotson Grimmett, 80, of Gilbert, WV, passed away on Wednesday July 7, 2021, at Hillcrest Health Care Center, Danville, WV. She was born on October 13, 1940 in Glen Allen, WV, a daughter of the late Garland and Julia Patrick Dotson. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She attended the Tamcliff Tabernacle.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband Gordon Grimmett, two sons Jerry and Ricky Dotson, a great granddaughter Tiara Jade Stacy, four sisters Doris Sammons, Wanda Jean Dotson, Linda Sue Dotson and Geraldine Dotson, four brothers Garland William Dotson, Kester Dotson, Elmer Dotson and Pete Fooler.
Survivors include her daughter Lerna T. Toler and husband Gary of Gilbert, two sisters Wanda Cline of Buffalo Creek and Lucille Blevins of Chicago, IL, a brother Paul Edward Dotson of Miami, FL, four grandchildren Rhonda Mullins, Ashley VanNatter, Tiffany Steele, and Ricky Vinson, nine great grandchildren Alexa Mullins, Brayden Mounts, Channing VanNatter, Addison VanNatter, Danzel Steele, Novalee Vinson, Tyson Vinson, Keana Thomas and Jody Thomas, and a host of other loving family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 12th at the Tamcliff Tabernacle, Tamcliff, WV, with Bro Gary Browning officiating. She will be laid to rest in Browning Fork Cemetery. Friends may gather with the family after 6:00 PM on Sunday July 11, 2021 at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
