Davidson And Russell Selected To Class AA All-State Team

Class AA girls’ basketball champion Wyoming East is represented by senior Skylar Davidson and sophomore Abby Russell on the All-State team, released earlier this week by the West Virginia Sports’ Writer’s Association.

Wyoming East senior Skylar Davidson has been named Captain of this year’s Class AA girls’ All-State basketball team.


Davidson repeats as a first team player and also as Captain of the honor squad. Russell is also a first team selection.
Junior Daisha Summers represents the Lady Warriors and is Captain of the second team group of selectees.
Three other East state champions were cited on the Honorable Mention list including senior Sarah Saunders, junior Hannah Blankenship and freshman Madison Clark.
The All-State teams are selected by votes from girls’ basketball head coaches statewide, along with sports’ writers from West Virginia media outlets across the Mountain State.
