The Oceana High School Alumni Association has selected six members from the Westside High School Class of 2021 to receive a one-time $1200 scholarship to attend the college of their choice.
Thomas Toler will pursue a degree in nursing at Marshall University. He is the son of Arvil and Tammy Toler of Simon.
Madyson Redden of Oceana plans to attend West Virginia University and study political science leading to a law degree. She is the daughter of Timothy and Regina Redden.
Kailey Webb plans to attend WVU Tech and will study nursing. Kailey is the daughter of Carl and Shelley Webb of Oceana.
Kristina Martin of Oceana will attend the University of Charleston and plans to study nursing. She is the daughter of Jeff and Kim Martin.
Jaeden Fleenor is the daughter of Brandon and Kristy Fleenor of Oceana. She plans to study nursing at Marshall University.
Connor Gibson is the son of Darren and LeAnn Gibson of Brenton. He will attend Concord University and study business administration, specializing in management.
Including these six Westside High School seniors, a total of 76 scholarships have been given to one or more students in each graduating class at Westside High School since 2004.
