Reginald “Reggie” Sizemore, 70, of Dublin, VA formerly of Pineville, WV traded in the hunting grounds and fishing holes here on earth for his eternal home in Heaven on March 10, 2021 after a boating accident. Reggie took his last breath doing what he loved, out in the sunshine casting a line fishing. Born and raised in McGraws, WV. He was the son of the late, Denver Jack and Sadie Maraschillo Sizemore. Reggie was a United States Vietnam Army Veteran, retired from the U.S. Steel Pinnacle Mines and attended The River of Life Church in Dublin, VA. Reggie was known for his love for hunting and being in the woods, fishing anywhere possible, working outside, his beautiful flowers, as well as his smile and love for helping others.
In addition to his parent he is preceded in death by two brothers Arnold Sizemore, and Billy Jack Sizemore; a nephew BJ Sizemore; and wife Debbie Wiseman Green Sizemore.
Survivors include a daughter Heather Hood and husband Jamie; a son Adam Sizemore and wife Brittany all of Pineville; a sister-in-law Phyllis Sizemore; his cherished grandchildren Dakota Hood, Nick Hood, Savanna Hood, Lani Hood, Braden Hood, and Brixton Sizemore all of Pineville; his great grandchildren Connor Hood, and Sawyer Hood; a brother Denver Sizemore and wife Janie of NC; his best buddy Bill Stewart; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Wednesday March 17, 2021 at the Saulsville Baptist Church, Saulsville, WV with Pastor Shawn Burgess from his church in Dublin, VA officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his parents in the Clay Cemetery, Saulsville, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 1 pm until time of service on Wednesday at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
