Beecher Wilson Plumley, 94, of Kopperston, WV went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 12, 2021 at his home. He was born on June 8, 1926 in Pear, WV a son of the late Lemon Wilson and Virginia “Jenny” Bennett Plumley. Beecher is a member of the Oceana Freewill Baptist Church, the UMWA, a United States WWII Army Veteran and an avid gardener.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife Dorothy Jean Borders Plumley; and an infant son.
Survivors include two sons Beecher Dewayne and Kay Plumley of Clear Fork, and Michael and Susan Plumley of Bluefield; six grandchildren Danielle Watts, Nicholas Plumley, Aaron and Christy Plumley, Kate and Joshua Sizemore, Elisabeth Plumley and Tim Titus, and Victoria and Andrew Browing; seven great grandchildren Emma and Ethan Watts, Allyson and Grayson Plumley, Rory Titus, Benjamin Sizemore, and Colt Browning; a brother Howard (Sally) Plumley of Gobles, MI; a sister Charlene (Mack) McKibben of Detroit, MI; special friends Linda Lambert, Eric Gibson, Mark Aguilar, and Neil Morgan; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Saturday March 20th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Pastor Jackie Grimmett and Bro. Michael Prichard officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Allen Plumley Cemetery, Bragg Mountain, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 11 am until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Military rites will be conducted by the Wyoming County Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations can be made your local church.
