Bonnie Marie Paynter Eldridge, 88, of Cyclone, WV went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday January 20, 2021 at her home. She was born on February 8, 1932 in Paynters Branch, WV a daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison and Berthie Ann Burgess Paynter. Bonnie was a lifelong member of Campus Church of God. The legacy she left for her family was to Love Jesus and serve him always. She prayed for her family daily. Bonnie was an avid reader and loved reading her Bible and about the Amish way of life. She was a simple person, humble, kind, patient, and loving friend to all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jefferson Isaac Eldridge; two sons, Johnny Mack and Michael Eldridge; three grandsons, David “DaDa” Eldridge, Earl “Spud” Gillispie, and Wayne Eldridge; and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Eldridge.
Those left to mourn her passing are her two daughters, Connie (Earl) Gillispie and Janet (Stanley) Miller; four sons, Audy
“Dusty” (Sheryl) Eldridge, Ronnie “Rusty” (Anita) Eldridge, Gary Eldridge, Ralph “Smokey” Eldridge; daughter-in-law, Belinda Eldridge; eleven grandchildren Melinda (Chris) Vernatter, Willie Gillispie, Christina Canterbury, Ronnie “Bub” Eldridge, Justine Eldridge, Kristina (Douglas) Smith, Jennifer (William) Ames, Jason Eldridge, Bonnie Eldridge, Amanda Priddy and Josh Eldridge;
eighteen great-grandchildren, Lakota Gillispie, Micheala (Brandon) Miller, Kortney (Cameron) Hunt, Earl “Bub” (Carlee) Gillispie, Corey Gillispie, Jordan Gillispie, Jessica Smith, Emily Smith, Katie Ames, Gary Ames, Jason Eldridge II, Haddie Priddy, Chloe Priddy, Chloe Eldridge, Alexis Holmes, and Jaiden Dixon; three great-great grandchildren, Nova Hunt, Mason Gillispie and Ella Gillispie; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
A service to honor her life will be held at 3 pm on Sunday January 24th at Campus Church of God, Cyclone, WV with Rev. Tommy Cline, Sis. Chelsea Noel and Bro. Jim Frazier officiating. She will be laid to rest in Paynter Cemetery, Cyclone, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 2 pm until time of service on Sunday at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
