COVID-19 Cases Delay In-Person Instruction at Westside HS Until Thursday

CLEAR FORK, W.Va. – Wyoming County Schools announced earlier that a positive COVID-19 case has been confirmed for an employee and a student at Westside High School and the Wyoming County Career and Technical Center (CTC).

“All those exposed are quarantined in collaboration with the Wyoming County Health Department. Deep cleaning and disinfection of affected areas will be completed,” said school officials.

School will resume for students at Westside High School on Thursday January 21, 2021.

Meanwhile, any CTC students from Wyoming East and adult programs that are not quarantined will be permitted to attend the CTC starting tomorrow, January 20th, 2021.

“These occurrences were not acquired through the school environment,” said school officials.
