Alma Jean Gregory Blankenship, 84, of Clear Fork, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday November 14th, 2020 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV. She was born on January 16th, 1936 in Gates, WV a daughter of the late Morgan and Bessie Ann Bowes Gregory. She is a member of the Advent Christian Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Charles Blankenship; her first husband H. L. Thurmon Mullins; second husband Walter Acord; Alva Lea Blankenship (sister), Margaret Short (sister), Arlie Gregory (brother), Kenneth Gregory (brother), and Donald Bowes (brother); son Darrell Blankenship; brothers-in-law Jim McVey, Clyde Kidd, Johnny Anderson, and Willie Marcum.
Survivors include a son Ronnie Mullins and wife Pamela of Hendersonville, TN; a daughter Lisa Ross and husband Jerry of White Sulphur Springs; a son Michael “Mike” Blankenship of Clear Fork; four sisters, Edna McVey of Rohoboth Beach, DE, Norma Marcum of Vackaville, CA, Mary Anderson of Princeton, and Rema Kidd of Martinsville, VA; sisters-in-law Maxine Gregory, Mary Gregory, and Arlene Bowes; four grandchildren, Shawn Blankenship and wife Misty, Jessica Lusk, Kalea Ross and Taia Ross; five great-grandchildren, Dereck Blankenship, Dillion Blankenship, Iris Klaiber, Shaina Sumpter and Matiya Lusk; two great-great-grandchildren Jensen and Alivia; and a host of other loving family and friends with a special thank you from the family to nieces Freda Aliff and Phyllis Cook.
Funeral service will be held at 1pm on Thursday November 19th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Erwin Gregory and Rev. Eddie Bee Aliff officiating. She will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends visit with the family from 12pm until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Advent Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.
