PINEVILLE, W.Va. – Today, Wyoming County School Superintendent Deirdre Cline released an update about the Wyoming County Career and Technical Center reopening later this month.
“Currently, Wyoming County Schools has only the COVID-19 positive situation that was recently shared. Our Career and Technical is scheduled to reopen on September 23, after multiple sessions of deep cleaning,” said Cline. “WCS works extremely close with the Wyoming County Health Department to communicate with and follow their directives. WCS has a few employees and students who are under quarantine, but have not currently tested positive. Quarantine is not the same as a positive test. Our schools and departments are aware of these quarantine situations and are doing exactly as the HD has directed.”
Cline said schools across the district are cleaned regularly each day with a deep cleaning done twice a week. Mask protocols and hygiene procedures are in place as well.
“Our goal has been and will continue to be to provide a safe and happy learning environment for the children we serve, the very best we can. Additionally, we will be as honest and transparent as possible, within the bounds of confidentiality,” said Cline. “Please continue to mask up and social distance. TOGETHER, we will work through this pandemic and the challenges it brings. Stay safe! Blessings to you!”
