Margaret Belcher Steele, 75, of Clear Fork, WV, received her healing on Thursday September 3, 2020 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 25, 1945 in Clear Fork, WV, a daughter of the late Virgil and Ruie Cook Belcher.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of ten years Gerald “Sam” Steele; two sisters Marie Rakes and Freda Steele; three brothers Donald, Virgil Jr., and Ronald Belcher; a son-in-law Kenneth Barnett; and a great grandson Anrek Shey Mullins. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
Survivors include her daughter Sandra (Brian) Milam of Clear Fork; step daughters Linda (Mark) Davis and Ann (David) Edens of North Carolina, Brenda Barnett of Baileysville and Patty (Michael) Mullins of North Carolina; a sister Carol (James) Maynor; four brothers Kenneth, Danny, James (Jenny) Belcher, and Anthony ‘Ray” Belcher, who she raised as her own, all of Clear Fork; a special granddaughter Mia Grace, seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday September 8, 2020 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV, with Rev. Seth Cline and Rev. Jerry McCoy officiating. She will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 11:00 am until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
