Samuel Paul Shrewsbury, 61, of Barkers Ridge, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020.

Born July 1, 1959 at Barkers Ridge, he was the son of the late Henry Jasper and Flora (Shrewsbury) Shrewsbury.

Sam was a Carpenter and a U.S. Army Veteran.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne; one sister, Victoria; and one brother, Russell.

Those left to cherish his memory include his companion, Melody Ann Smith and her children, Jamie Saylor, Heather Vance, Jessica Smith, and Radford Smith; two stepdaughters, Marissa and Crystal; 14 grandchildren; three sisters, Maggie McLean and her husband, Bob, Charlene Cecil and her husband, David, and Nola Shrewsbury; three brothers, Hank Shrewsbury and his wife, Mary, Jerry T. Shrewsbury, and Oral Shrewsbury and his wife, JoAnn; sister-in-law, Linda Shrewsbury; special friends, Anthony Taylor and Berlin Reed; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Sam’s wishes, his body will be cremated and a Memorial Graveside service will be held at a later date.
