OCEANA, W.Va. – Last Friday, Gilliland Park Pool hosted the Veteran’s Freedom Festival 3rd Annual Boat Races sponsored by the Wyoming County Disabled American Veterans.

Sponsoring awards for the event were Wyoming County DAV, Mayor Tom Evans, David & Terri Maynor, Maniac’s Garage, Stafford Family Funeral Home, Mary & Homer Nutter and our newest sponsor, Tiki’s Shaved Ice.

Oceana Youth Advisory Council member Ashton Brown took care of registration and time keeping, GPP Manager Jennifer Cook, and the awesome GPP lifeguards kept everyone safe.

The numerous awards given out included:
