Ginger Faye Staton Cook 67, of Pineville, took her heavenly flight to be with her Savior on Friday August 7, 2020.
Born October 22, 1952 in Mullens, she was the daughter of the late Cecil Ray and Erma Eugenia Mullens Staton.
Ginger was a graduate of Pineville High School, and enjoyed her reunions with her classmates. She worked as a CNA for many years, and also worked providing home healthcare to people in the Pineville Area, the people she cared for became as dear to her as her own family. Ginger was a devoted Christian, she was a faithful and dedicated member of Pineville Southern Baptist Church, where she participated in every Church activity that she could. She loved listening to Bluegrass music, and traveling. Ginger was a light, and brought joy to all that knew her.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother David Elmer Staton, her niece Alesha Staton, and her nephew Derek Staton.
Those left to cherish her memory include her longtime companion Buford Phillips, two daughters Ceclia Frady, and Jessica McNelly, 2 grandchildren Faith McCoy and Bobby Cummings, 4 brothers and sisters: Johnny Staton and wife Tonjia, Sharon Sanders and her husband Allen, Charlotte Milford and her husband Nick, and Mark Staton and his wife Dawn, and a host of nieces, nephews, and countless friends and church family.
The family is asking all attending her service to please wear facial masks, and observe social distancing.
