Cathy Diane Nuckolls, 66, of Bud Mountain, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020.

Born July 1, 1954 at Bud, she was the daughter of the late Willis Sansom and Lessie D. (O’Neal) Sansom Lester.

Cathy was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church and she loved attending church. In her leisure she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and loved to craft and make jewelry.

In addition to her father, she is also preceded in death by her fur baby, Gabe.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Larry R. Nuckolls; her two sons, Larry R. Nuckolls, Jr. and his wife, Milissa of Mullens and Carl Nuckolls and his wife, Evelyn of Bud Mtn.; two grandchildren, Carlie and Aiden Nuckolls; her mother and step father, Lessie D. (O’Neal) Sansom Lester and Carl Lester of Bud Mtn.; three sisters, Clara Scott and her husband, John of Bud Mtn., Charlotte Burgess of Glen Rogers, and Bonnie Justus and her husband Billy of Turkey Creek; one brother, Larry Sansom and his wife, Cindy of Princeton; and a host of family and friends.  

Services will be 12:30 P.M. Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at the New Hope Baptist Church, Bud Mtn., with Terry Green and Russell McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton.

Friends may call from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at the New Hope Baptist Church, Bud Mtn. and also one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

For those wishing to attend the services, CDC guidelines will be followed, social distancing is required, and masks are mandatory.
