BOBBIE DYKES

Bobbie Dykes, 78, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020 in Thomasville, NC.

Born February 2, 1942 in Milam, WV, she was the eldest of nine children born to the late Posey Tolliver and Ethel Roles Tolliver.

Bobbie was a proud veteran having served her country in the Women’s Army Corps. She was a bus driver who retired from the Wyoming County Board of Education. After retiring from the Board, she returned to work as a fulltime nurse until she retired for the second time. After retirement, she served many hours volunteering at High Point Regional Hospital.

Bobbie absolutely loved her family and enjoyed spending her free time with her loved ones. She was a lifelong member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her nephew, Dale Pizzino, Jr. and her great-nephew, Oliver Bell.

Survivors include two daughters, Holly Dykes and Cheryl Dykes; a stepson, Ken Dykes; two grandchildren, Jessica Dow and Sydney Higgins and husband, Samuel; eight siblings, Bonnie Powers and husband, Larry, Drema Pizzino and husband, Dale Sr., Dwight Tolliver and wife, Bev, Kenny Tolliver and wife, Charlene, Linda Hawkins and husband, Jerald, Wayne Tolliver and wife, Lisa, Rhonda Ansel and husband, Patrick and Karen McKendree and husband, Kevin; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and countless friends.
