Thurman Bruce Tilley, 82, of Glen Fork, WV passed away on Sunday May 24, 2020 at Hidden Valley Center, Oak Hill, WV. He was born on October 18, 1937 in Maben, WV a son of the late Arnold and Georgia Canada Tilley. Thurman was a retired coal miner, Dad and avid sportsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and gardening.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son Ricky Tilley; and a brother Stanley Tilley.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years Mary Louise Brown Tilley; a daughter Tammy (Mike) Sandy of Bud; two sons Terry (Candi) Tilley of Fayetteville and Thurman (Sherri) Tilley, Jr. of MacArthur; three brothers Charles (Mary) Tilley of Glen Daniels, Robert “Bob” (Cricket) Tilley of Sabine and Arnold (Sue) Tilley, Jr. of Kegley; a sister Violet (Jimmy) Bailey of Glen Fork; ten grandchildren Kyle, Kara and Jared Sandy of Bud, Christopher and Anthony Tilley of MacArthur, Faith (Billie) Fox of Coal City, T. J. (Kelly) Tilley of Maben, Dalton Tilley of Fayetteville, April (Ryan) Derieux of Laurel Fork, VA and Sierra (companion Michael Mitchem) Tilley of Mullens; twelve great grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends.
In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated. The Family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
