Third Positive Case Found in Wyoming County

PINEVILLE, WV – Last Friday, the Wyoming County Health Department announced the second positive COVID-19 case found in the County. On Monday, they announced a third case had also been found.

Wyoming County Health Department reported that contact tracing had been completed and that the involved individual is working with them, ensuring appropriate protocols are being followed.

The first case has recovered while the other two are still active at this time.

The Health Department encourages the citizens of Wyoming County to continue with recommended public health measures such as frequent hand washing, social distancing, avoid large crowds, wear a face covering or mask in public, and stay at home, especially if you are sick.
Also last Friday, Wyoming County OES/911 Director Dean Meadows announced via social media that sick individuals must absolutely have a referral from a Wyoming County doctor for testing at the Park Street Testing Site in Pineville. Anyone without a referral will be stopped by law enforcement and asked to leave.
