AMANDA ASHLEY BELCHER

Amanda Ashley Belcher, 30 of Mullens passed away on Tuesday April 21, 2020 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley surrounded by her family. Born December 2, 1989 in Beckley, to the late Steven Warren Belcher, and Carol Shrewsbury Johnson. 

Amanda was a 2008 graduate of Wyoming East High School, and Vocational Technical School with a certificate as a CNA. She held many jobs and loved taking care of the elderly.  She studied at Valley College online with a degree in Medical Billing, Coding and just had recently finished her degree in Associate Health Services Administration.  She also worked as a Project Coordinator/ Peer Recovery coach at Recovery Point West Virginia.  We will never forget her fighting spirit and determination and the love she had for her family, friends, and those she tried to help. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Steven Warren Belcher in 2011, and paternal grandparents Calvin Warren and Jean Conner Belcher, and maternal grandfather Bernard Johnson. 

She is survived by her mother Carol and step father Harvey Johnson of Bluefield, Two daughters who were her pride and joy, Braelynn Jade Hall, and Brooklynn Mykah Cox. One brother, Nicholas Stephen Belcher of Bluefield, two step sisters Courtney Matney of Springville VA, Kala Johnson of Sugarland Texas, and stepbrother, Jeremiah Johnson of Morgantown. One niece Brielle Hawkins of Sugarland Texas and one nephew Kingston Matney of Springville Va. She is also survived by the love of her life, her fiancee’, Billy Jarrell and his daughter Addisyn Jade Jarrell. Maternal Grandmother Mary Bishop Johnson, and step-grandmother Willie Johnson. Special Aunt, Carolyn Belcher, many more Uncles, Aunts, special cousins and mumerous friends, including two special friends Candice Jenkins and Allison Fralin and also her two faithful pets, Annie & Ariel.  

Private services will be held for Amanda, at the Jack Shrewsbury Cemetery on Barkers Ridge.
