BETTY JO EVANS HEARN
Betty Jo Evans Hearn, 63, of Accoville, WV, departed this life on April 10, 2020 at Logan Regional Medical Center, Logan, WV. She was born on November 20, 1956 in Man, WV a daughter of the late Printess and Dora Belle Smith Evans. Betty was a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and wife.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and enjoyed playing games on her phone and talking to her friends and family on Facebook. Betty worked in the health care field until she was forced to retire due to health problems of her own.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by four of her brothers Norman Wilson, Jackie Lee, Billy Ray and Ricky Lynn; her sisters-in-law Mary Jane, Michelle and Dorothy; her brothers-in-law Walt Adkins, Jr., Freddy Lawrence and Marion Jimerson Damron.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 39 years David Hearn; daughters Brandie Hearn York of the home, Francis (Mark, the son she never had) Riverburgh of Matheny and Christina Evans Harris of Keyston; sisters Zona Lawrence of NC, Elsie Adkins of Amherstdale, Brenda Damron of Accoville and Nora Mae Maynard of Huntington; brothers Landrum (Carol) Evans of Robinette and James (Jimmy Dale Jane Evans of Keyston; sister-in-laws Katherine Evans of Earling, Debbie Evans and Angie Evans both of Accoville; granddaughter/daughter Dora Elizabeth Hearn York of the home; granddaughter Jahvalin Shade Hopson of Amherstdale; grandson Joey Evans of Keystone; Mommaw Bets baby boy Julian Evans; nephew/son Russell Evans of Accoville, nephew/son Ricky Evans, Jr. of Holden; nephew/like a brother Printess Lawrence; special friend Carol Rivenburgh of Matheny and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
A private funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 15th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Alan Bailey officiating.
A few family members wanted to say something about Betty. Her husband David said “She was my world.” Daughter Brandie said “You couldn’t find a better person than my mom.” Daughter Francis said “She had the most beautiful soul and an amazing attitude, a great sense of humor. She was my best friend.”
The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco.
