Two people have been arrested in connection with a nighttime burglary in Mullens.
Jason Lee Maynor, 32, of Pineville is charged with nighttime burglary and Christy Rena Walls, 32, also of Pineville, is charged with accessory to nighttime burglary, according to Mullens Police Chief Ray Toler.
According to Toler, Maynor and Walls allegedly broke into an apartment building in Mullens while visiting a friend.
Police recovered the stolen items and made the arrests within a couple of hours of the break in.
Toler and Officer Jack Meadows made the arrests and were assisted by Deputies Shane White, J.W. Clemins and Kenny Wallen of the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department.
Toler said Mayor was out on bond on felony charges in Oceana.
Magistrate Kim Farmer set bond at $5,000.
Both Mayor and Walls were taken to Southern Regional Jail.
