Westside takes on PikeView this evening at 5:30 in the opening round of the Class AA state tournament.
The tourney got under way yesterday with Class A and AAA games.
AA No. 3 seed Nicholas County trimmed No. 6 North Marion, 47-42, in the early morning game at the Charleston Civic Center.
Class AAA Logan, a team Westside beat twice, downed Princeton, 77-66, in a game which just finished.
WHS (23-1) beat PikeView twice in the regular season. The winner of this contest faces the Clay County-Fairmont Senior winner in the semis. Clay and Fairmont Senior play at 9 p.m. tonight.
