Westside and Wyoming East are both ranked in the AA top five in the final Associated Press boys high school basketball rankings.

The Renegades (16-6) are at No. 4, their highest season ending ranking since finishing at No. 3 in 2007.

East has been at No. 7 for several weeks but climbed to No. 5 for the final poll.

The Warriors (15-7) battled No. 1 Bluefield to the wire before losing, 62-60, last week. They also benefitted from late season losses by Poca and Tolsia, who both dropped below East in the standings.

Sectional tourney play starts tonight for both Westside, which takes on Independence at 8 p.m. in Beckley, and East, which faces Summers County at 6 p.m.
