With Westside, it’s always just a matter of time.

The AA No. 1 Lady Renegades always have a big run or two that gives them separation and puts them in control of the game.

After struggling a bit from the floor for the first 12 minutes of Tuesday’s Region 3, Section 1 semifinal with Independence, WHS erupted for a 24-0 run in the final four minutes and went on to score an 89-16 win at Clear Fork.

Megan Endicott led five Lady Renegades in double digits with 17. Danielle Brown and Faith Davis tossed in 14 each. Hope Lester and Kristen Hash added 10 apiece.

Westside plays Thursday against Summers County in the final. The Lady Renegades beat SC twice in the regular season.

The Lady Bobcats held off a Wyoming East rally and won, 64-54, in the first game of the night.

Summers was up by as much 16 in the second half. East stormed back to cut it to four on two occasions, 53-49 and 55-51.

The Lady Warriors (13-10) had chances to slice the lead to two but could not convert.

Hannah Ford tallied 23 for East, and Chiara Jewell scored nine and pulled down 10 rebounds. Bre Pertee had 12 rebounds.
