The Wyoming County Commission recently approved a the first-ever county seal.
Designed by Vernon Hurley, the seal depicts the mining and railroad industries, the courthouse and a green area to represent forests.
Commissioners said they wanted to have a seal ready in time for an Association of Counties meeting later this month. Hurley said it took about 40 hours to design the seal.
