Westside’s girls stayed at No. 1 and both county boys teams are ranked in the top ten in the latest AP hoop poll.

Westside continues to hold down the top spot in Class AA. The Lady Renegades, 11-0, received nine of ten first place votes.

No. 2 Bridgeport got the other first place vote. Clay County and Summers County are ranked third and fourth, respectively.

Greenbrier East is No. 1 in AAA and Huntington St. Joseph tops the Class A poll.

On the boys side, Wyoming East moved up despite last week’s loss to Bluefield. The Warriors edge up from fifth to fourth.

Westside also moved up and is now No. 10.

Bluefield is No. 1, and Poca is No. 2. Scott, last wee’s No. 1, is now third. Robert C. Byrd dropped to fifth.

Martinsburg is No. 1 in AAA, and Charleston Catholic tops the list in Class A.
