Girls hoops: WHS plays East tonight

Defending state champion Westside faces county rival Wyoming East tonight in girls basketball action at Clear Fork.

The Lady Renegades are 7-0 and carry a 35-game winning streak into the contest.

WHS beat Scott, 50-31, last Saturday in its most recent outing.

All-state center Hope Lester, guard Danielle Brown and forward Megan Endicott have been among the top scorers for the Lady Renegades.

East is 5-3 after losing road games to Summers County and Bluefield. Sophomore Brianne Pertee and senior Chelsea Duncan have been the leaders for the Lady Warriors.

Game time is 7 p.m.
