Zelphia Helen ‘Tootie’ Marcus

CYCLONE — Zelphia Helen “Tootie” Marcus, 78, was called home to be with her heavenly father on May 1, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family. Born October 21, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Rush and Alvia Brown Workman. A celebration of Zelphia’s life was held 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2012, at Cyclone Church of God with Revs. Kennis Lusk and Emma White officiating. Services entrusted to Adam Toler Memorial Funeral Home, Oceana.

Jennie Thompson Nichols

PINEVILLE — Jennie Thompson Nichols, 61, of Pineville, passed away at her residence on Saturday, April 28, 2012. Born Jan. 13, 1951, in Pineville, she was the daughter of the late J.V. and Rita Cook Thompson. A celebration of Jennie’s life was held 11 a.m., Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Calfee Funeral Service Chapel, Pineville, with Pastor Keith Reed and Turk Bailey officiating. Calfee Funeral and Cremation Service of Pineville is serving the Nichols family.

Kimberly Ann ‘Kimmie’ Wesley

ROCK — Kimberly Ann “Kimmie” Wesley, 21, of Rock, formerly of Ravencliff, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 29, 2012 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born June 5, 1990 in Beckley, a daughter of Valerie and Jimmy “Duck” Shumate of Ravencliff. Funeral services was held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the Pine Grove Baptist Church, Ravencliff, with the Rev. Bernard Brooks officiating. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco.
