JESSE — William Ray “BR” Brown, 66, of Jesse, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Select Specialty Hospital, in St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, W.Va. He was born October 4, 1945, in Glen Fork, W.Va., a son of the late Ova “Dub” and Ilene Cook Brown. A celebration of BR’s life was held at 1 p.m. on Friday March 9, 2012 at the Guyandotte Missionary Baptist Church, Jesse, with Rev. Herman Cook, Pastor Harrison Abbott Jr. and Rev. Lacy Lee Brooks officiating. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco.

PINEVILLE — Frank Dale Ellison Sr., 68, of Pineville, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012.
A celebration of Frank’s life was held 1 p.m. Sunday, March 11, at Turkey Ridge Baptist Church with Pastor Johnny Jones officiating. Calfee Funeral and Cremation Service of Pineville is serving the Ellison family.

BRENTON — Brian H. Hall, 57, of Brenton, left this world on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born July 1, 1954, in Pineville, W.Va., a son of the late Marie Morgan Jackson Hall and Henry Cline Hall. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012, in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, with Rev. Tommy Knotts officiating. Russell Lee Miller, 87, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, after a short illness. Born in Pineville, West Virginia, on October 27, 1924, he was the son of the late Fred Miller and Margaret Stewart Miller. A celebration of Russell’s life will be held from 12 noon to 2:00 o’clock on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Shenandoah Memorial Park Chapel located at 1270 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, Virginia 22601

CYCLONE — James Larry Overton 69, departed this life Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family following a long illness. Born July 25, 1942, in Davin, he was the son of the late Clarence L. and Mary Vada Bailey Wooten.
A celebration of James’ life was held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Adam Toler Memorial Chapel with his son-in-law, Revs. William Runyon and Merle Walls officiating. Services entrusted to Adam Toler Memorial Funeral Home, Oceana.
